Although Dr. Champlain is not originally from Texas, she definitely got here as fast as she could! Dr. Champlain graduated from the University of California, at Santa Barbara with High Honors in Pharmacology in 2003.
After spending a few years working in education and research in Chicago, Illinois, she earned her MD at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois, graduating in 2011 with Honors in Research.
After completing her residency in family medicine, she and her husband Rick found themselves wishing for a more active lifestyle and warmer climate in which to raise their family, and they set off to central Texas in summer, 2017.
Since then, she has received numerous distinctions and awards for her community service, teaching, and research; and was honored to be named one of Austin’s Top Doctors by her peers in 2021 and again, in 2022!
Dr. Champlain employs a holistic, patient-centered, health at every size approach focused on prevention of disease and enhanced quality of life.
She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and looks forward to serving the Leander community.
